I participated in the FUN CAMPUS - led course MOOC Research integrity in scientific professions. Through the wide variety of media employed in this online course, I gained insights into the ethical responsibilities of scientific institutions and researchers concerning their relationships with partners and competitors. Understanding the principles of intellectual property rules and conflict of interest declarations, I developed a greater appreciation for the importance of transparency, honesty, and fairness in academic interactions. By exploring real-world examples and discussing ethical dilemmas, I sharpened my ability to make ethical decisions and uphold professional integrity in all aspects of my work.

I attended a course titled ‘Managing your scientific project’. Amongst other skills, this session has enhanced my competency in identifying and mitigating risks throughout the doctoral project. I learned the significance of conducting a thorough risk assessment, anticipating potential challenges, and developing contingency plans to address them proactively. I also learned how to apply retroplanning as a valuable tool for organizing and prioritizing tasks in my doctoral project. By starting with the end goal in mind and working backward to identify intermediate milestones and deadlines, I can now create a clear roadmap for project completion and identify achievable targets and aims for each phase of my project.

Through the training course 'Managing your scientific project' and my real life experiences as a member of different laboratories, I have gained skills for resolving conflicts constructively, such as active listening, open communication, and seeking compromise. Understanding different perspectives and addressing conflicts promptly can foster a positive team dynamic and is crucial for overall project productivity.
