As a Ph.D. student, it is my duty to stay up-to-date, alert, and vigilant about the latest trends, techniques, and breakthroughs in my field. So, I have done several literature surveys including journal clubs on topics related to my research. These activities helped me understand my own results and whether they stand the test of scientific scrutiny.
